Foundation in Sentiments and Behavioural Research in the Public Service – Introduction and Applications

OVERVIEW

Sentiments and Behavioural Research (SBR) plays an increasingly important role in policy formulation, implementation, and government communication. SBR provides a deeper understanding of:

  • How people think, feel or respond to an issue and
  • How to nudge behaviours in line with Government policies.

Through case study discussions and sharing from SBR practitioners, the programme aims to provide research officers with the foundation required to effectively design and conduct SBR in the Public Service. The programme will also give an overview of the available resources to engage research vendors while ensuring quality control and proper protocols in managing data when facilitating SBR involving multiple agencies.
