Legal Manager (Part Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LEGAL MANAGER (PART TIME)

JOB SUMMARY

As part of the Finance team, you will be responsible for contract review and management and providing legal advisory. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders across 3 business units on the above matters. You will take the lead in ensuring consistency in contract reviews and facilitating discussions with stakeholders where necessary. To achieve this, it is important that you understand the operations of each business unit and how the external environment impact business strategies.

This position will report to the Senior Manager in Finance department.  It is a 20 hours workweek from Monday to Friday.  The hours may vary depending on the nature of work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract Review and Management

  • Review contracts that are brought forward by business units, with the aim of reducing organisational risks and ensuring that the contract brings a positive impact for the company.
  • Identify the key clauses of the contract e.g. termination, indemnity etc for closer review and follow through to ensure that problematic issues have been resolved before contracts are signed.
  • Drafting of new commercial agreements or specific clauses for existing agreements.
  • Organise communication sessions with stakeholders and across business units where necessary.
  • Develop a process to ensure consistencies in the review of contracts across business units.
  • Regular reviews of common agreements across business units e.g. Non-disclosure Agreement and Vendor Commissioning Agreement etc to ensure that these stay relevant to the business.
  • Develop a process for contract management i.e. working to ensure that the terms and conditions of signed contract are adhered to and all parties’ contractual obligations are met satisfactorily.
  • Working with Data Protection Officers to ensure organisational compliance with PDPA regulations.

Legal review

  • Able to share legal opinion with management team across a broad range of issues, including but not limited to human resource practices, employment, compliance to regulations etc.
  • Good Knowledge of different legal issues and assist in drafting legal opinions and other documents.
  • Analyse and research the implication of laws and regulation that may impact the organisation and propose to management on best options to adopt, which minimise legal risks and liability.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in law
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related role
  • Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • High learning agility, adaptability and tenacity

Organisational Development Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

As part of the Corporate team, you will be a key enabler in helping the Company achieve its mission and vision. In this role, you will work close with the management team on strategic planning. You will take the lead in strategic mapping exercises as well as coordinate and facilitate discussions across various Departments and levels to effect transformative changes and innovation. To achieve this, it is important that you Identify and understand the external environment, trends and emerging issues that will impact business strategies

The position will report to the Associate Director of Corporate Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizational Development and Strategic Corporate Planning

  • Develop & drive organizational development projects and strategic corporate planning initiatives that will drive value creation for the company
  • Identify and understand the external environment, trends and emerging issues that will impact business strategies, “connect the dots” and make recommendations to the Management
  • Develop key performance indicators for regular reporting to the Management
  • Organise key events and strategic communication sessions e.g. Townhall, Workplan/ Strategic Planning workshops

Change Management & Innovation

  • Plan & oversee change management efforts within the company for strategic projects and/or various company -wide initiatives.
  • Develop and coordinate innovation and transformation efforts in the company as well as secure and sustain buy-in and staff participation through internal engagement and strategic communications.

Enterprise Risk Management

  • Take a lead role in developing and implementing a holistic risk management framework (incl. business continuity planning) across the company and business units.
  • Review, monitor and ensure adequate controls are in place for identifying and addressing risk issues according to regulatory and internal risk management requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate will be an advantage

Manager (Process Audit)

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MANAGER (PROCESS AUDIT)

ABOUT RS AUDIT

RS Audit is an independent unit under RySense, specialising in evaluating the quality of data collection.

As a key member of the team, you will assist the Department Head to deliver an independent, objective and comprehensive assessment of the third party’s research processes, whom have been engaged by our clients to conduct the research.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently plan and execute research audit programs
  • Evaluate vendors’ compliance with its quality control procedures by verifying its operating practices and documentation
  • Conduct thorough checks during project setup to ensure critical must-haves are in place
  • Observe if data is collected in accordance to project requirements through one-to-one shadowing of interviewers on the ground
  • Perform data quality analysis, using Excel/SPSS, to understand interviewer behaviour and detect data inconsistencies
  • Document results of the evaluation accurately in an unbiased and timely manner
  • Conduct investigations on irregularities and errors
  • Produce research audit reports highlighting issues and recommendations for review with Department Head
  • Present research audit findings to client
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Formulate training for junior team members
  • Assist Department Head in consolidating best practices observed across the industry

REQUIREMENTS

  • Inquisitive outlook who enjoys analysing data and problem solving

Database Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DATABASE DEVELOPER

JOB SUMMARY

We are collecting lots of data – structured and unstructured – and we are looking for an experienced Database Developer to be the master architect behind the development, management and maintenance of our critical data assets.

In this role, you will design, implement and maintain the databases and data applications, ensuring that it meets operational requirements and is efficient.  In addition, you will assist to put in place policies and processes for effective data management and governance.  As the custodian of our database system, you will be responsible for ensuring its security, reliability and accuracy.  Opportunities to expand into dashboarding, data mining, analytics and modelling will also become increasingly available as you help build and grow our data warehouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse the data needs of the company and design effective database system
  • Maintain data structures, indexing methods, file organisation and security procedures
  • Monitor and maintain database health to ensure high levels of performance and availability
  • Perform data quality checks and identify the root cause of any data inconsistency
  • Implement access policy, database security tools and/or measures to safeguard the organisation’s data.
  • Define and implement database backup and recovery policy and procedures
  • Develop applications and tools that analyses the data for better insights and business intelligence
  • Maintain database dictionaries, SOPs and other relevant documentation
  • Perform data mining and analysis (Extract, Transform, Load) operations; execute data queries, generate reports and create dashboards
  • Maintain and/or migrate existing MS Access database and applications
  • Contribute to team effort by assisting with special projects when required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma in IT or a related field, ideally with relevant industry certifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with one or more Database Management Systems
  • Well-versed in writing SQL queries
  • Well versed in Microsoft Access and LAMP Stack
  • Familiar with data analytics, data mining, data protection legislation and implementing database security policies
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Methodical and able to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player but also able to work independently
  • Open-minded and interested in new ideas and ways of doing things
  • Understanding of Research operations will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Apache, MySQL, PHP, Bootstrap4, Google Charts, Google Maps and Business Intelligence Tools are a bonus

Field Interviewer (Freelance)

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FIELD INTERVIEWER (FREELANCE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for collecting data by conducting structured face-to-face surveys using tablets or pen and paper
  • In-charge of the recruitment of respondent on the ground for research studies
  • Approach respondents on the streets or by knocking from door-to-door. No selling or promotional activities is involved.
  • A 5-day work week, including weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels
  • Competent in English and one or more of the following languages – Chinese, Malay & Tamil.
  • Previous relevant interviewing and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong social, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Friendly, polite and confident in persuading people to take part in research studies

Research Interviewer (Full-Time / Part-Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR RESEARCH INTERVIEWER (FULL-TIME / PART-TIME)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Research Interviewer is responsible for collecting data by conducting structured surveys over the telephone or in person and entering the responses into computer systems or mobile devices. No marketing or selling is involved. The full-time research interviewers will be required to work between 12.30pm to 9.30pm, Monday to Friday with a 1 hour meal break. The part-time research interviewers will be required to work on a four-hours shift between 12.30pm to 4.30pm or 5.30pm to 9.30pm, Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels
  • Competent in English and one or more of the following languages – Chinese, Malay & Tamil
  • Strong telephone skills and excellent telephone demeanor; prior call center or telephone interviewing experience preferred
  • Strong social, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and software
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
